Leather and Levis

Jukebox, drink specials, video poker. Hog Ranch is a place where leather lovers and bears can enjoy a drink and some gambling. This is a great place if you want to talk to people and socialize. We dare you to go to Fun Hog Ranch and not have a good time.

Hustled by the bar

I’ve been coming to the Fun Hug Ranch for 2 decades. Never again. I took an Uber from the strip last night (8/22/22 - 11:45pm) and ordered a vodka rocks. The bartender asked me if I knew how to play the built-in gambling games on the bar. I said no. He told me to put in a $20, play $1, then I would get the $19 back and my first drink would be free for gambling. I did what was told. When I went to make a move on the screen, it said that I had no money in there. The player/bet lights weren’t even up. I called the bartender over and he said “yeah, you must’ve played it all”. But here’s the gotcha, I never pressed a single button on the screen because I did not know how to play it. They unapologetically hustled me out of $20. I’m assuming because there were only 4 customers. The bare tender placed blame on my, so I paid for my drink and left. $20 in unrest, $20 hustled by the bar and 5.50 for a drink. Don’t trust the bartenders at the Fun Hog Ranch was an expensive lesson to learn.

Fun Visit

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Felt like everyone, the bartenders and patrons were very friendly. Drinks were reasonably priced. I’ve seen some negative reviews but I think you get out what you put in. Made an international friend while visiting here. I’ll definitely visit next time I’m in town.

Smaller neighborhood bar with great staff and good energy

Fun Hog Ranch is a smaller bar off the strip that's a fun place to drop into for drinks on a Saturday night. It's what we would describe as a "neighborhood watering hole". Drinks are super-reasonable, not the $20 drinks you typically find in Vegas. The staff is all friendly, and we particularly love Will as the Manager on staff. Fun Hog is particularly fun when they have special events, like "Gear Night" the first Saturday of the month, an event encouraging people to come out in Leather or Athletic gear, but you can come as you are! Oink night (typically the third Saturday of the month) as a fundraiser for the Sin City Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is also an awesome night with fun contest such as "Best Nipples", "Best Butt", etc. Definitely a fun place where you can just grab a drink and either hang out with friends or meet new ones!

The last bar in town that can be called "leather", just barely

Sadly, there are no leather bars in Vegas. The Eagle went twink a few years ago, and Fun Hog Ranch (or Funhog Ranch if you read the outdoor sign) has leather events maybe once a month and even then they're sponsored by Las Vegas boys of Leather (lower case intentional to show subservience to those who give a damn about such minutia). But it's still a little seedy, a little shabby, a little sleazy in a city obsessed with glitz and glam. The neighborhood was voted Best Block to Get Your Wallet Lifted By A Crackhead. It's also a great bar for professional alcoholics, the bartenders hand out 2-for-1 drink cards faster than hookers on The Strip hand out business cards. Some of the bartenders are good and know classic drink recipes, others will ice your drink no matter how many time you shout "Neat. Neat! NEAT!" So if you want to revisit 1979 but with iPhones, visit the Fun Hog Ranch.
