One of the worst gay clubs I have ever been to. The drinks were really expensive so was entry fee! It was a Saturday night and it was quite empty. The music was whack and so was the sound system left with a head ache. Drag queens were pretty shocking as well, Are drag shows are meant to have some humour to them? Not drag queens lip syncing REALLY badly and dancing out of time with each other to the pussycat dolls. We only stayed for about an hour shortly after the drag show is we were bored, I am never the first one to leave a party, but I did this night..

Pricey, Crowded, and...Why are all the Hunks in the VIP Area?

This club on Harmon Ave. just east of the Strip is in an unused theater space. It has a large dance floor in the pit and seating (and standing) in the mezzanine area. To the right are open booths and to the left is the VIP area (booths & tables). There are also 4 pedestals for the go-go boys. The DJ booth takes up the stage area, and almost the entire opposite wall of the space is taken up by the bar. I was there in the wee hours of 7/28/12. The go-go boys were not all that hot, but the VIP waiters (shirtless, no less) were so hunky! I was PO'd that they were only serving VIPs! The bartenders were ok but nothing special. There was a mixed crowd--no one to write home about--and it was very crowded. The cover was $25 and I paid $9 for a rum and coke. Security is all over the place, so don't try to get away with anything! The only good thing about this club was the music. I will probably not go back.

Not all bad

Just got back from another trip to Las Vegas, and finally made it to Krave. All in all, not a bad place. Hostess and bouncer not too friendly, but inside bar staff amazing. Very hot go-go dancers. Went on a Monday and the drinks were strong enough. Echo the same comments from others on here RE VIP. TONS of roped off VIP space with NO ONE in them, and rest of club packed in. Not sure if this is by design to make place appear busier, but was ridiculous, especially since I believe the VIP area needs to be reserved so they should know how much to rope off. I would recommend if you enjoy your standard dance club, with hot guys, and thumping music.

It's typical Las Vegas Mentality

I have to agree with some other reviews that charging out of towners a cover and allowing the locals in for free is total discrimination. Especially when you're trying to establish any town as a gay destination. Why in the world would any club do this? I have been all over the world and have never encountered cover guidelines like this. The drinks were tiny, and expensive, and the kicker was that there were so many empty tables that were roped off, because they wanted you to pay the VIP charge to sit there.. I really didn't see another seat in the place to sit down... Sorry guys, buy the feel of this place is the antithesis of what a great gay club should be. Cold, sterile.. and overpriced.... Skip it and stay in the hotel room.. rent some porn and jerk off....

MY BOYFRIEND AND I WENT ON SATURDAY AND HAD A GREAT TIME. HONESTLY I WAS IFFY ABOUT THIS CLUB. I WAS READING THE REVIEWS AND FOUND OUT MANY PEOPLE HAD A BAD EXPIRENCE. I BELIEVE WE GOT TO THE CLUB @ 1230AM. I WAS CONCERNED THE LINE WAS GOING TO BE LONG CAUSE OF THE FACT OF BEING "HALLOWEEN WEEKEND" AND ON THE STRIP. THE LINE WAS KINDA LONG BUT WE PAID AN EXTRA FEE ($10) TO GET IN AND AVOID THE WAIT. THE ATMOSPHERE WAS BIG AND MUSIC WAS GOOD. I DIDN'T LIKE THE FACT OF THE DRAG SHOW WHEN WE ENTERED...BORING! ANYWAYS, FOR A ROUND OF 2 BEERS WAS $13. WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE, HELLO VEGAS!!! WE LEFT THE CLUB @ 4 SOMETHING IN THE MORNING. WISHED THAT HAPPENED WHERE IM FROM. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK IN AUGUST FOR MY BIRTHDAY. BTY, IT'S $30 TO GET IN (FYI) ;)

If you like being gouged, this is the spot

In Feb of 2011 my friend and I were here on vacation from Canada. At that time we went to this bar as it was close to the Strip and for a ten dollar cover, we were allowed then to drink for free the rest of the evening--at that time we thought it was great so we paid and went in. The free drinks were very limited in choice though and nearly everything was roped off---all these lovely couches and chairs to sit on but no one was allowed on them! This past week, Oct 2011, we were back in Vegas again and thought we would give this bar another chance. We paid the ten dollar cover but once inside were told that no drinks were free--so much for consistency! To our horror, a Bud Light was $8 per bottle..completely outrageous. My mistake-- not doing enough research. When I got back to the hotel later, I went to their their website I was quite shocked to discover that only those from out of town were subject to the cover charge---locals paid ZERO dollars. For us, we felt that this cover charge approach was comeplete discrimination and the beer prices over the top. One word sums up that entire experience: gouging! Strongest advice....pay a little more for a taxi, hop the bus or hike a bit to the other bars where there is no door cover and the same beer is only three dollars. This club's practices may be acceptable in this city, most likely because of its proximity to the Strip, but I can assure you that no one likes the feeling of being taken advantage of and this is exactly how my friend and I felt with this bar. Even with our taxis to the other bars, we still ended up saving more, had a more pleasant experience and none of the other places had things roped off like a crime scene!

Average looking crowd, expensive drinks, rude staff, however.... the venue was pretty sweet and location awesome. As a visitor from Australia, pretty avg experience overall. Not recommended for visitors if you're looking for a place to talk/meet ppl. I'll go back because its the only gay bar on the strip.... until I meet some people and drag them to Piranha which treats visitors a million times better. See ya next week haha.

Plenty of pros and cons

Krave has the "velvet rope" mindset that immediately turns off some, but those who shun the only gay dance club on The Strip are missing out on some positives. Sure, there's a cover, and like many Vegas establishments, they let locals off the hook. And the drinks are as small/weak as they are costly. Snobs visiting from everywhere (not just LA) can be seen pretending not to see you on any given night. Ignore those factors and concentrate on the between-dancing mini-shows (leave it to Vegas to incorporate wild entertainment), then join the mob to gyrate in the state-of-the-art environment. One good thing about The Strip is that it forces constant competition, and Krave is required to justify its expense and attitude - and sometimes succeeds.

Went on a Friday night, was given a free pass from someone in the street, glad I didnt have to pay cover. The place lacked soul, it was a very uncomfortable club to be in. Staff were not the best. I could have dropped dead and nobody would notice. Drinks were so expensive and foul tasting, served in a plastic cup. Dont waste your time if your a tourist.

Fun place but watch out for the out of town thing

I was here over NYE 2011... I found out at the door after waiting in line with no jacket that people with local ID's get free cover, anyone from out of town has to pay anywhere from $20-$35... I paid $35 to get in. Once inside, I paid $15 for a rail Vodka Redbull. Yes, they have a great dance floor and lightshow with good music and some hot muscular men dancing on the podiums around the place, but the locals definately get all the perks, while they rail their out of town guests. Bar service was also pretty slow and the bartenders DEFINATELY took care of the people they knew first and foremost. I often waited for 15-20 minutes for a drink, whereas in Minneapolis I only wait about 3 minutes in the same crowded setting.

Still Looking for the Best Gay Club in Vegas

I had a ok time at Krave when I went to Las Vegas in December 2010. I had heard about Krave for years and was excited to finally see what all the talk was about. Krave really tried to deliver the Las Vegas experience most tourists are looking for; drinks, boys, drag queens and dancing. I went midweek so I didnt get to see the place in full swing so I imagine the experience would have been much crazier on the weekend. The crowd was a decent size, the drinks were awesome and cheap because I subscribed to the text message alert system for the bar but what kept grabbing my attention were the Go Go dancers. Theses poor guys were too ripped for their own good. They almost looked uncomfortable up on stage in front of the crowd, as if their muscles somehow interfered with their ability to dance. Plus a majority of them had to of been under 58 once they hopped off the stage. Instead of oh daddy your hot response I had an awe thats cute reaction to most of them once they walked by to get a drink.

Waste of $20

It must have been a bad night because the post before this one was really bad as well. I basically paid $20 for me and my husband to be treated like crap from some queeny bartender who refused to serve us when I turned to ask my boyfriend to order. (I'm deaf, and I couldn't read lips in that light.) So the douche bag leaves us, and after a half hour of waiting, we never got served. (Although we did wait a half hour because the dancers were freaking HOT!) I'm pretty hot, and even held a 20 out to let the bartender know I could tip well, so the only reason I can think of that I wasn't served is because of my disability. Gay men in America get crapped on so bad by so many people, which is why it hurts so bad when other gay men treat me bad just because I cannot hear. (Especially when I paid 20 bucks for us to get in!)

It had a great vibe, but a big bald bartender with attitude skipped over me when I told him the guy next to me was here first. I'm a Canadian, and going out of turn would be against my nature. So he gave me a "fuc* you" and left. We waited another 10 minutes for service and left. I wouldn't reccomend this bar to anyone.

This is a great bar and the fact that it is on the strip is a great location, the crowds are a bit hit or miss. I've gone on a Saturday night and its packed wall to wall, and I've gone on a Friday night where there are 60 people inside....WEiRD Drinks are good, staff is friendly..sometimes the people at the door forget you don't work there, a little patience always goes a long way people! Oh and if your into Cute Asians this is your spot!

If all you want to do is dance to the latest top 40 hits and overpay for drinks, then fork over the 20 bucks at the door and come on in! Vegas sux and this place is one of the reasons why. I started with an $8 rum and coke (all coke) and moved on to $22 LI iced teas. $22! And THIS is the best Vegas has to offer.

I've been to Krave three or four times and I have never, ever been disappointed. It's hard to speak consistently well of a big club, but I think Krave has the right attitude and the right mixture of music, space and clientele. I like the fact that it doesn't even open until 11 on the weekends: this is a place that caters for those who are on vacations--probably 95% of its customers. The spaces are unique and the lights/interiors makes it a world class venue. And because everyone is from somewhere else, almost everyone is happy and sociable! The entertainment is fun (even if the go-go boys are mostly straight) and the music is not your run of the mill House top 40 remixes. A REALLY good time!

Unfortunately all my friends were straight when I went to Vegas. Ended up going to Krave by myself. Can't depend on your straight buddies to go to a gay club. haha it was alright. Ended up pounding some Jameson and Ginger ale. (Sprite and coke in Vegas) and went back to the hotel after takin some pics of the cute go go boys. would not go again. For now.

The bar was nice and they played great music! But be prepared to PAY! it's on the strip and so it is pricey! But a great environment and really enjoyed the music. Better if you go in a group.

Firstly loved that this place is basically on the strip and was not to far to stumble home at 4am. We went on a Tuesday and then again on the Wednesday as well. Was disappointed there was a cover but when we paid on the Tuesday, my name was put on the list for free entry on the Wednesday night. Arrived around 10.30 ish on the Tues and took a while to warm up. Go-go's kept things moving until it was jumping around midnight and then the party really started. My bf and I had an awesome time and made friends with a hot pair of Austrians ;) Wednesday night we arrived closer to midnight but it just wasn't the same. Quieter crowd and no-one really dancing so we left after an hour. Bar-staff were hot and friendly. Reasonable drinks at reasonable prices and the d.j. on tues night was amazing, wed night d.j. much less so. Overall 8/10

I dont want to pay for drunk girls

First the good: good venue, good sized dancefloor, good lighting, good go go boys (most obviously straight, but hot AND able to dance!) However, judging by the shear volume of drunk straight girls present, this club will not be gay for long. Eventually the straight guys will find out about this treasure trove of easy pickins and the club will be gay in name only! Also, the music was not very good. Note to DJs out there: if you take the time to LOOK UP from your laptop an notice that 80% of the people on the dancefloor AREN'T dancing, you may want to CHANGE THE SONG) The cover charge was way too high and the bar area was littered with tables that no one was sitting at due to the fact that you had to pay extra to do so. Crowd was a strange mix, but since this is the gay club on the strip, the clientele was well dressed and obviously ok with the high prices. If the cover was lower or the had better music, the rating would be much higher, but they failed on both measures, and go go boys will only go go so far.

I went on a Sat. Night. Good music, a lot of people and good drinks. Probably the best gay club I found in Vegas. It has a North East feel to it. After they closed the club, there was a smaller "after party" area where they continued the fun.

It's cool that there's a gay mega-club on the strip. The go-go boys are pretty, but are pretty sloppy with their moves. Obviously most people there are on vacay, an subsequently in big groups. I was with a group that had a VIP area, and even that was sub-par. Check it out (once), and then hit up places off-strip.

Two go-go dancers were attractive. The employees were attractive. The clientele is the typical gay hodge podge of lifer-locals that go there religiously and what ever unlucky gay tourist gets trap in the "mirage" of vegas. You think its going to be hype and fun and its a let down.very nice place inside though. Just not really worth the cover.

I thought Krave had an amazing environment. Sat is definitely the night to go, people partying till the sun comes up! The dancers were all extremely hot and very friendly, you could tell alot of people knew each other and were locals, but very inviting. There were a few female dancers and a handful of women on the floor but i was just there to dance and have a good time! Mission accomplished!

Something New Every Week

For the past couple of weeks, I have made it a point to stop in to this club every Saturday night. Let me tell you, there is always something going on in this place! The first time I stopped in, they had a guy in what looked like a giant hamster wheel doing all kinds of acrobatics! It was like something out of a Cirque Du Soleil show! I came back a week later, and they had a couple performing on a hoop ABOVE THE CROWD! As a grand finale, one of the performers spun off of the hoop by his NECK! Brilliant! This past weekend they had some singer come in and perform. I had never heard of her in my life, but I believe that we're going to be hearing a lot more from this artist! I can't wait to see what they have going on next weekend!

A very different gay experience..Skip it

What can I say, I've been to so many other gay clubs around the world, and for the life of me can't figure out why Krave does what it does.. Firstly... no charge for the locals, but a $20 cover for the out of towners... Someone has to explain that rationale to me... Las Vegas , one of the largest visitor population in the US, and this club treats them like 2nd class citizens.. Now, don't get me wrong, I wasn't bothered by the $20, have paid that many times in NYC ... but once you get into the club there is absolutely no place to sit, once you're in the club... that's right.. all of the seating is RESERVED. Not a bench.. cubby...single chair to sit on... Oh well, we went there to dance anyway.. so what the hell.. Now the drinks... not to bad for $9 each.. a bit weak.. but still acceptable.. Now least but not last, the dance floor.. Let's just say that there are BOTH male and female go go dancers... First time I've ever seen this in a so called gay club.. Ok.. aside from that... 30% of the dance floor consisted of fag hags... with their pocketbooks swinging.. and tits flailing.. Once again, not what I expected... to sum it all up, it appeared that the majority of the people there.. were trying to have a good time... Perhaps it was an off night.. but we were there on a Sat night, at 2am... you would think that was prime time... To sum it up... if you're a gay guy.. from out of town.. this is not the place for you ... especially if your over 30 years old.. Save your money and time, and visit some other gay club... this one has to mature a bit, to make it a truly memorable clubbing experience.

Krave is a beutiful space with a huge dancefloor and pretty good music. That's where it ends! Locals get in for free, tourists have to pay a $20 cover charge. Drinks are weak and way overpriced! I hope you do not want to sit down, because the only places to sit are reserved tables. Half the space is taken up by tables where you are not allowed to sit! I did not even ask how much it costs to reserve a table, because that is total BS! Not happy with this club at all! We stayed 1 hour and left! Too many stupid drunk Fag Hags bumping into you on the dancefloor. Skip this club! You'll be happy you did!

I KIND OF FEEL WEIRD HERE AND ..

Hey, the show is great when they have one, guys jumping through hoops in the skay and flying on sheets above our heads. Who could ask for more. It's big, and loud, and gaudy, a perfect kid club and I like it as far as that it seems like a happy place to hang. Seating is a problem with too much of it off limits on a saturday night. There's a large segregated area where us normal folk, if you can call us that, can not enter. I hate it. I'm an American and despise such a feeling of inadequacy as is cast upon us on the out from such prestigious confines guarded by a slave. What's the guard for anyway? Are we that much different that we need to be separated? Well, enjoy for what's it's worth. The drinks aren't the cheapest nor are they the best. But the light show gets you in the mood for fun if anything there does. It's a younger crowd that rules.

KRAVE SUCKED on so many levels. It was one of those clubs with tons of attitude and no soul. It wants to be The Abbey (in LA), but comes off like the Abbey’s wanna be sister, “Shabbey”. The guys were all local, pale, skinny, white kids, who wear bootleg Prada outfits and drive home 6-7 deep in a beat-up 1988 Ford Escort…. See where I’m going? Krave tries to be a big city “VIP”- “are you cool enough” club, but comes off like just another Vegas casino bar… bad drinks and boring. If you’re in Vegas with your man, or friends try one of the mega straight clubs on the strip. They are all amazing and gay friendly…. and clearly designed by US… If you’re over 21 and enjoy the company of adults go to 8 ½, or Gypsy. Both are laid back places with heart, soul, & hot guys of all ages and types from all over the world.

i just moved to vegas, and im over it. krave is one one of the best they have to offer. cute guys, music is ok if you like techno, but wtf is up wit all da str8 ppl working there??? they charge sum people by the way you look at the bar. i paid 12 for two drinks, while the guy in front of me paid 26! a local told me cuz the bartenders judge you... oh really! and your str8? rriight! over it. the VIP separated by just a rope? over that too! lol but the club is fun.

Let's face it - Krave is not the nicest of gay bars. BUT, if you go with a group of friends it can be really fun. We showed up around 1am, and the staff treated us really well. They played decent music, and we all danced the night away. Good place for a non-dresscode night in Vegas.

OK, I know it was a Tuesday night, but come on, a $10 cover? For what? There were maybe 30 people and the whole club is about the size of my living room. Maybe I got it the wrong day, the wrong time (was there at midnight), not sure, but I won't be paying to visit them again. Oh, and the gogo boys....a 50 lb kid who looked like a 13yo. Unfortunately didn't have a car to drive anywhere else.

Love this Place!

Krave is a huge nightclub! Unfortunately, for us gays there are not a lot of Gay Nightclubs like this! It was huge, with vaulted ceilings! Krave is a real club, very much like Tao or any of the other straight nightclubs on the Strip! This is not some gay bar, that's is for sure! The gogo dancers were hot and real dancers! The DJ was great also. Lots of house music... but good house music that had vocals and remixes of top 40 songs. There is a girls side next door called CandyBar that was really cool that played hip hop and top 40 all night. We bounced back and fourth between the sides all night! We had a blast! I highly recommend!

I'm a 30 something business man from New York and travel to Vegas often .. In fact I travel all over. KRAVE is a trendy large scale Club and not a local Pub with cheap drinks. The prices are consistant with other large clubs in other Major cities but much cheaper then the major str8 clubs on the strip. JET or Tao usually costs me well over $500 for VIP. Bottom Line .. It's a LATE crowd which means after Midnight. The DJ's AND 70% of the crowd are from all over the place and are different each weekend. If you're a gay tourist looking for gay things to do in Vegas you really need to know what's going on where each night and what crowd you're looking for. I usually check the Q Vegas Mag online or get online and ask the locals what's going on b4 I get there so I know I'm at the right place. Oh ... I was a bit annoyed at Krave when the guys in front of me got in free and soon as thy saw my NY ID I was asked to pay the $20 cover. Being from NYC I'm not shy so I asked the kid WTF?? Turns out the Vegas locals usually don't pay a cover at any of the gay clubs ... I wish they did that in New York!

Bf and I went to the Krave last nite. It was just OK place, nothing special. Good crowds but only ok music. Yes, previous review (Kamaka) is right, a lot of people were waiting for a great music to dance!! Good go go boys and girl. Really they were good looking, few of them dance very well. The owner was trying to sell all the SEAT!!! so if you want to SIT DOWN you must PAY $$$$!!! Otherwise, you must STAND UP. $20 to get in and $5 coat check. Place was getting busy after midnite. We stayed there only about 2 hours... coz we got bored after while...... ZZzz ZZzzz

The only gay club on a strip

Well, Krave is the only gay nightclub on a Vegas strip. There are few more very close to the strip, however the lavel of the others and croud over there is not what you would like to see on your Vegas get away. So the Krave is the best one for the moment. It is big, nice and have great entertainment, while the other offer pretty borrrrrriiiiiinnnnggg go go's and low quality.

If you whant to have fun,there is no place in Las Vegas more festive and colorfull. The music is pumping,the admasprire electric,the men are so hot...if you want to make your vacation Krave is a mus. It puts Gypsis and all the rest of the clubs in Las Vegas in the dust...its a white party every weekend! The only gay night club with class + ps. The Martinis are to die for!

Krave losing the touch.

I hate to write this becasue I have always been such a hugh Krave supporter and client. The club has had major change. I understand that business is business, but when your business is taking care of your clients especially your VIP clients who spend money to help keep your doors open and they are treated poorly not only by new servers, but the new host and the Management does nothing to make things better well i guess we can take our money somewhere else. Krave has potential, but you have to have the right people in place and it seemed like krave was heading in a good direction again and as of last week they lost all points with me and my crew.

This club was recommended to us by a friend as the best gay club in Vegas...it WAS NOT the place the spend my 30th birthday!!! When we arrived at 11:30 there were all of 2 people in this bar, besides the employees who did nothing but talk to each other. It was inconvieniently located to parking, was small, had more straight couples than gay, and most people were just sitting around watching this one random guy (who was obviously offiliated with the bar) make out with his mother.....we totally left without getting a thing for our outrageous cover charge! We'll Hit RumJungle or Sudio 54 next time.

We were at their 2 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago. I gotta say that this is the best club I have ever walked into, straight or gay. The door Drag was hilarious and friendly, we got a VIP table with reasonable bottle prices (the VIP Host David is so HOT!!) and they had some of the best entertainment throughout the night.....all the gogo boys do aerials during the night...WOW!! One of the best looking crowds I have seen in years...we've already made reservations to go back...

KRAVE is not what I expected in a bad way. If you go to a gay friendly club you expected to hear "gay" music like circuit house or pop vocal house remix. The DJ was playing stuff you would hear at a straight club. The music was just to jazzy and rave like. It's a gay friendly club not a rave. They need to get a better DJ that plays the right kind of music. You can tell alot about a DJ by the people on the dance floor and the people were just standing around don't know what's going on. Is this club still own mby Jeffrey Sanker? I was so disappointed.

We were in town for one of my conferences and we decided to stay the weekend. We're both jeans, t-shirt and boot types and this weekend was no exception. When we arrived we were told "private party, sorry." As we stood there wondering where else to go several people walked up, paid the cover and went in. They didn't check any list and their names were never asked. We clearly felt we were turned away because we were in our usual t-shirt, jeans and boots and don't fit the "pretty" title. Attitude from this place? You gotta be kidding me! Dont' bother, go to Gipsy or the Buffalo. They treat you the way a gay bar should, with open arms.

My friend & I were here for Halloween this week...we were very disappointed. Is this all there is for gay life in VEGAS? This is a bar that advertises itself as the only gay bar on "The Strip" & honestly...we really expected more. We're from Texas & Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio...even Oklahoma City has better bars than this. We were not impressed w/ any of the other bars in this town as well. We thought they were lame @ best...Come on Vegas....Step Up!!! Wish we woulda heard about the party @ Studio 54 before hand as well, I'm sure it was the place to be. We'll be back.....C'ya, bjh

Krave is a great place for those that like the big city club atmosphere. Plan on hundreds of people dancing the night away... but don't go until after midnight or you will be the only one at the bar! Only drawback is that some of the songs go on FOREVER - gotta love trance!
