Badlands Las Vegas

(43 Ratings)
Country themed watering hole

Journey to the wild west in this friendly neighborhood bar. The jukebox is decidedly country and the regulars are really regular (some keep their own beer mugs here). Overall, this bar is extremely friendly, with great drinks and a quirky atmosphere. Open 24 hrs!

I was here just before midnight on 7/30/22. Badlands is in the same strip mall as Hawk's Gym. When you enter (no cover), the bar is on the left side, high tables are in the middle, and low tables and a banquette are on the right. Behind this is the dance floor area with high seats and bar all around, shiny disco ball overhead, and tables and chairs against the left wall, and 4 video screens. Table service is available. I paid $5.50 for a rum and coke and the bartender called me "baby doll" and other pet names in his Texas accent. :-) There was a small crowd of mostly mature men but no go-go boys. Service was a bit slow but they make drinks with care and they are tall ones (the drinks, not the bartenders.) There were 4 video screens up front, 3 playing videos and 1 with the baseball game on. Badlands is pretty low-key but it's a cheap date and the drinks are good. I would probably go back.

Nice

Make sure you count your change quick. otherwise it's the cheapest place to drink in the Commercial Center complex and has drag shows on fridays and sundays. If you go online and sign up for text messaging, you can show it to the bartender and get $2 well drinks on saturdays. Hit the website to see the other specials and times. Cheers.

Nice place to hang out a while, but not a destination

Badlands is a good bar to meet friends for a drink before you all head out to, say, First Friday. Or to wind down before heading home after a movie. It's just not the kind of place I'd hear anyone say "I came here to hang out all night". Badlands staff are friendly and have solid bartending skills. They have a good assortment of bottled beers you might miss because they're on a shelf off to the side. Customers are low-key and friendly but not really outgoing. There's bar stools if you're solo and a few booths if you're with friends. I went on Latin Night but there were no Hispanic guys to be found. Badlands is a nice enough bar to hang out for a while, maybe chat with strangers a bit, then be on your way.
