REJOICE, REVIVE, REVEL IN THE MEMORIES OF FABULOUS YESTERYEAR WITH THE HUNTRIDGE FOUNDATION’S “MEMORY PROJECT” FREE KICKOFF MIXER ON FIRST FRIDAY
The Huntridge Foundation is eager to announce its new
headquarters located at the Downtown Spaces office building at 1800 Industrial Road, Suite 108, Las
Vegas, Nevada 89102.
The Huntridge Foundation will hold a free public mixer at the new office to celebrate the kickoff of the Huntridge Theatre Memory Project for First Friday festivities between
5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday, April 4.
The Memory Project is an effort by The Huntridge Foundation to document and preserve Huntridge Theatre memorabilia and materials for a historic archive and database for public display. All items donated will be catalogued for future public enjoyment and eventually donated to UNLV Libraries Special Collections Department for preservation. The collection will include photographs, playbills, flyers, programs, ticket stubs, oral histories, videos, and any artifacts related to acts, movies, and performances taking place throughout the extensive and remarkable past of the Huntridge Theatre.
The Foundation invites Las Vegans to share their personal memories of the Huntridge Theatre with other theatre supporters by gifting items from their own collections or sharing stories through interviews with
The Huntridge Foundation for the Memory Project archive. Donors will have the option of gifting their memories entirely to be catalogued into the archive, or allowing The Huntridge Foundation to reproduce the item and return it after scanning or photographing.
The kickoff mixer event will offer refreshments provided by local, family-owned Bonanza Beverage Company, and the local fine wine and artisanal spirits distributor Vin Sauvage. Donations are appreciated.
Additionally, visual exhibits will be displayed featuring some of the memorabilia collected to date by the Foundation’s archival efforts.
Raffle prizes provided by Atomic Liquors, Skin City Body Painting, Las Vegas Burlesque, Clay Arts Vegas, Wasteland Gallery, The Law Office of Parviz Heshmati, Shoestring Promotions, and more will be raffled off through ticket sales.
The Foundation will also sell reprinted concert flyers from past shows held at the historic Huntridge Theatre.
All proceeds benefit the continued historic archival and community programming efforts by The Huntridge Foundation.
