Las Vegas PRIDE Family Bingo is back and is bigger and better than ever. Originally started back in 2005 at Hamburger Mary’s Las Vegas when Las Vegas PRIDE needed a monthly fundraiser to help build their general funds for the PRIDE festival. With the help of Hamburger Mary’s owner’s Andy Barret and James Healey with BINGO Chairman Ernie Yuen and the entire Las Vegas PRIDE Board this PRIDE Family BINGO event grew and was one of the most popular monthly LGBT community events. Hosted by many community entertainers like Mary’s Michelle Hoillday, people looked forward to our monthly gathering, fun themes, great prizes, drink specials, everyone had a great time and looked forward to the next month's event.
In March 2012 Las Vegas PRIDE Family Bingo was back; we moved to the strip at Circus Circus and were ready to have fun and raise money for our community. Chairmen/President Bingo Chairman Ernie Yuen headed the team and was excited for the new venue and to return the once loved monthly event to our Las Vegas LGBT Community. Bingo stayed at Circus until the end of 2013 for a 21-month run.
In May of 2014 Las Vegas PRIDE teamed up with The Center and found a new home. With our new location, we have some new rules, the only rule that stands out the most is the new age requirement of 21 and over. Like at Hamburger Mary’s no one under 21 could be on the main floor where Bingo was played, they had to stay – up stairs on the restaurant side of the building. Circus Circus is a casino, so they have their own set of rules in the banquet area. At The Center, with gaming and regulations surrounding the hosting of a bar- we cannot have any one under the age of 21 in the area where Bingo is being played. Norma and Doris will be hosting fun, free bingo events for the youth in the near future.
We are continuing to have our favorites like “shots when O-69 is called”, some of the old Bingo Games and great raffle prizes. Please be careful when calling out “BINGO” Chubby Bunny is here to stay. Las Vegas PRIDE will be hosting a cash bar with great drink specials; Bronzed Café will be providing a special Bingo menu with food specials. A VIP “Bingo Players” line will be provide for quick service. Come in and socialize with your friends from 6:00 to 7:00pm during Happy Hour with some fun drink specials.
Your fun and crazy Bingo hostess Normal Llyaman and her crazy sidekick Doris Klozzed will be ready to start the fun at 7:00pm. Las Vegas PRIDE Family Bingo promises to be a great night of wacky fun. You never know what thoese 2 ladies have planned. It is always a joy to see “what they come up with next,” it’s never ending fun and you can never predict what they will do next.
