The Gay decor, is the only thing GAY!
Though some Homo made a chic place out of an apartment building, this is not a GAY place to stay. We found the staff , stale at best. We tipped like we would want to be treated. If, you like "Melrose Place" with a rude straight crowd, then book it. They also , tried to place an extra day, on my credit card! NOT Gay friendly........................
Lavender!
Well, not exactly, but a great shade of purple that matched my new hoodie! Stayed on a Saturday night with my "sister", Thommy...we sat on our patio and enjoyed cocktails and snacks while witnessing a private event/fundraiser in the courtyard that was a lot of fun. We were like the Royals (it was the Saturday after the wedding) overlooking the commoners from our balcony..... Shower was fabulous....room is big and I love that there is no gaming here. If I were looking for quiet, this would not be the place....I was not! We're on our way (walking....yippee) to the bars over on the "Fruit Loop". Only giving 4 stars since the night is young.....
A few minutes from the gay clubs
My girlfriend knows I hate traveling because I hate people looking at us funny. The only reason I can write this review is because I think gay people should know about all the places that are gay friendly, and anyone reading this cant really track me down. We try to find gay friendly hotels close to all the gay bares (or at least some gay activity). Rumor was the closest hotel that was in our price range. I always get scared about walking into places and having them look at my girlfriend and I odd because were a gay couple. The staff doesnt bat an eye at it. Theyre very gay friendly (not to mention theyre in the same area as the fruit loop). I wont say they cater to gay couples, but theyre not dumb with all the PC of asking oh, would you and your friend like to check it when you have clearly shown its your partner. We just hung out in the room for a few days, think we ate in the restaurant once. It was alright, kinda fancy for my taste, but there was a PB&J sandwich that I just had to try. It was funny because when you think of fine dining, you dont think of peanut butter sandwiches. We made some friends hanging out by the bar and watching the TV in the main lounge. There wasnt any gaming, which was cool with me bc I hate the smoke. My gf likes the smoking and gambling, but she was just as happy with the special drinks. Me personally, Im great with a beer. We took the drinks outside to the pool area and sat on the chairs and just talked. It was pretty cool getting to spend some time with my girl away from home.
