We were happy to find a restaurant in Las Vegas that ISN'T part of large chain - most places are. Viva Mercado's has been in business in this location for 0ver 20 years, and it doesn't take long to understand their success. The wait staff is very pleasant, explained the menu graciously, and were very attentive. The food portions are generous. Cody had Beef Mole and was very happy with the flavor and portions. I had Chimichanga de Camarones and was pleased with both the finish and flavor. We should have just gotten salads and shared an entrée...definitely enough there to share unless you're really starving. Margarita (or 2) at $8.50. The food and service are out of this world. My partner and I have eaten here more than a dozen times and have never been disappointed. Very often, we see "family" enjoying themselves. This place is very gay friendly.
