Nice Place to Hang Out

Putting aside specials, Flex has the cheapest drinks and food. Drag shows spice up thursdays and saturdays. Sometimes a local organization called imperial royal sovereign court of the desert empire, inc. has shows as well and it's nice and packed. You drink free on your birthday too. Smaller but still nice inside.

Flex is a lot of fun on special event nights

We usually go to FLEX for special event nights like UnderBEAR, where guys in underwear get draft beer 1/2 price all night. A smaller bar with sorta a neighborhood vibe, also has several pool tables off to the side if you'd like to play pool while you're there. They have a DJ on busier nights and he plays a good mix of music. You'll see people dancing and maybe go-go dancers if it's an event night. Definitely worth checking out what's going on, and a good break from "the Strip".

Muscleboys replaced by wimps and drag... WTF?

It's important to remember that FLEX used to be a show bar with bodybuilders and muscle strippers. How the mighty have fallen. Now it's twinks in Polo shirts, lesbian bartenders, and drag shows. As a bar, it's kinda OK. The bartenders are competent and know their beers and cocktails. The patrons are mostly 20-something guys doing their best to look cute. The space is clean and well maintained. As a result it lacks any character, style, or edge. Has anyone ever said they want a drink at a "wholesome" gay bar?

Fun Place

Flex is just a fun place. As an out-of-town crossdresser, it's always a little weird trying out new places on the road. However, as soon as you walk in here, people want to talk and hang out and generally make you feel comfortable. The drinks were great! Both Joey and Tony were excellent attentive bartenders. I was there on a Thursday, which happened to be the night of a drag show. The show was amazing with top performers from all over the country! On top of that, Stephanie does a great job of getting everyone in the place involved in the show. All in all, while the entertainment and drinks were great, it's the people who hang out here and honestly want to have fun who make this place a must visit for anyone traveling to Vegas. Oh, and it's easy to get to with plenty of parking! Melissa from NJ (first visit on 12/12/13)
