Food Network's TV show hosts Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken run this low-key, innovative restaurant at Mandalay Bay. The menu shows an attention to detail that infuses traditional Mexican dishes such as tamales, empanadas, and ceviches with an exciting flair. They also offer a more casual taqueria for those just running in from the Mandalay Bay Beach for a quick bite.

not your daddys mex joint
is you grew up on del taco or taco bell i feel sorry for you. go get your stomach pumped too. border grill is more nouvelle mexican than traditional taqueria fare but its excellent and well worth the long walk through the mandalay bay tourist crowds.
Mexican food with a twist
The food is different version of your usual Mexican food. Food is interesting and flavorful. The chips and the salsas were wonderful. The small plates are the best. Service was less than good at the bar where I have eaten twice and that is my only negative point against this restaurant. Room decor is modern and just OK though view of the swimming pool from the main dining room is nice. Coffee was good. Food in rather expensive. To reach the restaurant you have to walk large distance from the parking lot of Mandalay and ever larger distance from the street. In summary, a nice, different version of Mexican food.
FABULOUSLY WONDERFUL
We had lunch there and tried a little of everything. Each entree was exciting, tasty and wonderful. Great Presentation of food. Wonderful service in a nice atmosphere. You can either dine inside or outside. This is PERFECT for the best Mexican dining experience in Las Vegas! No, in the entire State. No, in the entire Midwest!
Worth a Trip
Went there for brunch and had sabanitas and Mexican beer (great selection). Food was very good and great service staff. Need to try dinner before I could give it the top rating but I'm pretty sure I would.
Not to Miss
This place is a HIT. We are from Texas so we know REAL Mexican food. The girls have a hit with this place. You can stop in for a quick bite, or better yet, go in for a dinner with some of their amazing appetizers. The pork with green (tomatillo) sauce is outstanding as is their mole (pronounced MO-LAY in English)... the service is also excellent
